Description

The signature Buchinger Wilhelmi knife series stands for premium quality backed by the centuries-old “Made in Solingen” promise”. Each blade is made from German chrome vanadium molybdenum steel (DIN 1.4116) which offers exceptional edge retention and excellent rust resistance.

With its solid, sharp blade, this kitchen allrounder is ideal for cutting and chopping fruit, meat, fish and vegetables. From fine cuts using the tip of the blade and slicing of coarser pieces of meat to chopping fresh herbs and transferring ingredients into a pan or pot –
this chef’s knife is the perfect utensil for practically all kitchen cutting needs.

We have left nothing to chance in our choice of steel and selection of handle material. Drawing inspiration from our partner and supplier in Andalusia, we have chosen knife handles made from wild Andalusian olive wood. Each handle is individually selected and carefully chosen according to specifications on colour, grain and material strength. The unusual, natural grain of wild olive wood makes each knife truly unique.
● 100 % made in Solingen, Germany
● Drop forged
● Ice hardened
● Steel: DIN 1.4116 chrome vanadium molybdenum steel (X50CrMoV15)
● Precision-ground blade (an extra fine grinding process makes surfaces even more corrosion-resistant; a quality feature exclusive to knives manufactured in Solingen)
● Rockwell hardness scale rating 57
● Hand-sharpened, hand-polished edge for razor sharpness
● Handle made from wild olive wood
● Packaged in a natural kraft gift box with blade protection made from recycled cardboard
To preserve the appearance and sharpness of your knife for as long as possible, always clean the handle and blade by hand.

We recommend oiling the wood regularly to keep it supple and protect it in the long term. Neutral food oils such as sunflower or linseed oil are appropriate for this purpose. Oiling replenishes natural protection and gives the wood a rich colour.
