The signature Buchinger Wilhelmi knife series stands for premium quality backed by the centuries-old “Made in Solingen” promise. Each blade is made from German chrome vanadium molybdenum steel (DIN 1.4116) which offers exceptional edge retention and excellent rust resistance.

An extremely sharp serrated edge ensures that the knife glides through the hardest bread crusts like butter without tearing. Effortlessly cut through all things soft, hard, or crisp with this handy kitchen utensil.

The bread knife, or serrated knife, is also great for cutting watermelons and tough pumpkins as the serrated blade glides effortlessly through both soft and hard shells and rinds. Carving crispy roasts is also no problem at all.

We have left nothing to chance in our choice of steel and selection of handle material. Drawing inspiration from our partner and supplier in Andalusia, we have chosen knife handles made from wild Andalusian olive wood. Each handle is individually selected and carefully chosen according to specifications on colour, grain and material strength. The unusual, natural grain of wild olive wood makes each knife truly unique.

To preserve the appearance and sharpness of your knife for as long as possible, always clean the handle and blade by hand.

We recommend oiling the wood regularly to keep it supple and protect it in the long term. Neutral food oils such as sunflower or linseed oil are appropriate for this purpose. Oiling replenishes natural protection and gives the wood a rich colour.
